Magpies and Wests Tigers together this Saturday

Wests Tigers will be looking for the support of Members as we take on Brisbane in a pre-origin blockbuster under lights at Campbelltown Sports Stadium on Saturday, April 27th. As a bonus for Wests fans, the Magpies Ron Massey Cup will also take the field prior to the Under 20's game.

Wests Tigers players are already itching to get back out on the field and make a statement against the Broncos after a disappointing loss to St George-Illawarra.

There will be a wealth of Representative talent on show with likes of Robbie Farah, Aaron Woods and Chris Lawrence going head to head with Broncos stars Sam Thaiday, Justin Hodges, Matt Gillett and Corey Parker.

After narrowly losing to the Dragons in Round 6, the team need their fans to get behind them as they face an in-form Brisbane outfit.

Special ticket prices are on offer and are great value, with Silver and Bronze seating at just $20 for an Adult (Concession $15, Child $10).

You can buy tickets from our Gearzone stores in Concord and Campbelltown; or online

Wests Tigers today held a hugely successful school holiday clinic in Camden.

Youngsters from across the South West were treated to a day of fun and fitness at Kirkham Oval, Camden, which was recently awarded a large development grant with the help of Wests Tigers and the NRL.
Hundreds of kids enjoyed a great day out in Wests Tigers heartland.

The clinic wasn't just a chance to have fun, but also an opportunity for kids to develop their footballing skills to possibly emulate local hero James Tedesco, who played fullback for City Origin on Sunday.

Wests Tigers play the Brisbane Broncos at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday night in a game billed as a chance to catch some of the stars of State of Origin in Campbelltown.

Brisbane feature Kangaroos Sam Thaiday and Justin Hodges, as well as likely Maroons Corey Parker and Matt Gillett, amongst others.

Wests Tigers will hold another clinic in the next school holidays.

In the lead up to the Wests Tigers' big clash with Brisbane Broncos at Campbelltown Stadium, the Club is celebrating big funding grants to community rugby league clubs in the region.

Wests Tigers front rower Matt Groat along with club staff joined the NSW Minister for Sport and Recreation, Graham Annesley and representatives of the NRL to award funding grants to the Camden, Thirlmere and Campbelltown Collegians clubs.

Each club has received significant funding grants from State and Local Government for essential home ground upgrades which were achieved with the assistance of Wests Tigers and the NRL.

Wests Tigers Development Manager Ben Rogers worked in conjunction with the NRL's former Wests Tigers centre John Wilson to secure the funding.

"We've been successful with three out of three grants," said Rogers.

"In conjunction with the NRL, we've helped them write their grant application, which has never really been done before.

"As you can see from the results, it's been a great boost for the community and local rugby league."

John Wilson, now working in Game Development for the NRL, began working through the process with Rogers in late 2012.

"We got together and had a look at the needs of the area and what we're trying to do in the south west corridor," said Wilson.

"As we know, it'a a growth area and it's a good opportunity for the Wests Tigers to really branch out at a number of levels in community, game development and also their government operations.

"Under the new structure that we've undertaken, it allows us better access to identify the areas that we need and to work in with these junior clubs in where they need to grow."

Wests Tigers are this week preparing for Saturday night's Broncos clash with a multitude of high profile appearances in the Campbelltown area.

Macarthur Square in Campbelltown will be a buzz of excitement on Friday April 26 as Wests Tigers stars Benji Marshall, Lote Tuqiri and Keith Galloway assist in a banner making competition.

Tying in nicely with the school holidays, Wests Tigers Members and supporters are invited to come along to “Centrecourt” at the shopping centre to design their very own banner.

The best entry will be chosen at half time of our blockbuster match against the Broncos at Campbelltown Sports Stadium the following night (Saturday April 27).

The banner making will take place between 1-3pm, with the only rules being that you need to include either Meriton or Hyundai and make it as bright as possible with Wests Tigers colours!

Materials will be provided to make the banners, but you are welcome to bring your own.

If are unable to make it to Macarthur Square but still want to enter, bring your banner along to the game and it will still be in the running to win.

Marshall, Tuqiri, and Galloway will also be making appearances at our Gearzone store, where you can pick up the latest Wests Tigers merchandise range.
