Notice regarding Wests Tigers.
Western Suburbs League Club (Campbelltown) Ltd has announced that it
has resigned from its involvement in the Wests Football Group (WFG) and
in turn Wests Tigers.
Wests Campbelltown was a one third
shareholder within the WFG whilst Wests Ashfield has been two thirds.
WFG shall continue to retain 50% of the Joint Venture.
Some may see the withdrawal of Wests Campbelltown
as a streamlining of ownership and now Wests Ashfield shall control 5
of the 10 votes at Wests Tigers (Wests Campbelltown held just one of the
ten Wests Tigers Board positions).
Wests Campbelltown wants to
be a sponsor of the Campbelltown home games rather than be involved
with just 1/10th control at Board level with running that business.
Our commitment to the Wests Junior Rugby League Group 6 and the
Referees shall remain unchanged at approximately $260,000 per annum.
Wests Campbelltown shall continue to foster rugby league and looks forward to working closely with Wests Tigers.
